What is `it` like?

What is `it` like?

How does it feel to experience the world? To see it through your eyes? your ears? your nose? your skin? your body? How does it feel to be you?

I know how it feels to me, but I don't know how you it feels for you.

Yet when I ask, 'How are you feeling?', all I get are variations on the same answer:

It's going good.

But what is good to you?

It's going...

Yeah? Where is it going to?

Same old, same old.

Not to me it's not!

Oh, y'know how it is.

No, I don't! That's why I'm asking!

I don't ask 'How are you feeling?' to make small talk - that class of vacuous social noises I so detest - I genuinely want to what you feel, how you feel it, how you experience your life, your emotions, your relationships, your world.

I want to get a glimpse of what it is like for you.
I want to get a glimpse of what it is to be you.
I can explain what it is like to you.
I can use my words, my expressions, my emotions to evoke it within you.
I can understand it if you use your words, your expressions, your emotions to evoke it within me. So I shall rephrase my question:

What is it like? How does it feel to be you?
